This study examined the relationships between and among the variables home involvement, support facilities and reading motivation of Grade one pupils in Bailen Elementary School in Gen. Emilio Aguinaldo, Cavite in order to develop a home-school collaboration action plan that can be used to improve the reading skills of the Grade 1 pupils. The findings showed that there is a moderate level of home involvement in promoting the reading motivation of Grade 1 pupils; this indicates that there is a moderate degree to which the parents or other family members had been involved and concerned with their child's reading. It was also found out that there exist just enough reading resources and/or materials in the homes of Grade 1 pupils that could serve as tools for assisting and promoting the reading of the child as evidenced by the overall moderately adequate support reading facilities. Evidence suggests that Grade 1 pupils have "moderate level" of motivation to read implying that they have had modest interest and dedication to put more effort on reading activities.
