Summary: This research analyzed the effectiveness of mastery teaching technique in academic performance in Mathematics of Grade Two pupils of Diego Mojica Memorial School, City of General Trias, Cavite to serve as basis for remediation program. This study specifically tried to determine the significant difference between the pretest results in Mathematics between the experimental and control groups and the significant difference between the post-test results in Mathematics between the experimental and control groups. Based on the findings, a remediation program mat be proposed. This study dealt on the effectiveness of mastery teaching technique in Mathematics.They showed significant gain in the academic performance and improvement in Mathematics. The correlation-qualitative reaesrch was conducted to (112) Grade 2 learners of Diego Mojica Memorial School., City of General Trias, Cavite for the School Year 2017-2018. Frequency distribution, percentage and mean were computed to determine the level of effectiveness of using mastery teaching technique.
