This study determined the effectiveness of teaching styles, adequacy and extent of use of instructional materials in English subject in relation to pupils' academic performance as basis for action plan. This study was delimited to the teaching styles, adequacy and extent of use of instructional materials in English subject in relation to pupils' academic performance. The survey instrument used in this study was adapted from the Grasha-Riechmann's teaching style survey questionnaire (2015) which was adapted from the internet. It consisted of a total of 40 item questions with 5 sub-categories as expert, formal authority, personal model. facilitator, and delegator.
